The Somalia Natural Gums (SNG) Charity was formed in 2018 and registered with the Somalia Government to address the plight of the farmers and their communities engaged in harvesting frankincense and myrrh in Puntland, Northern Somalia.

In spite of working these arid farmlands for centuries to gather the resins from frankincense and myrrh trees, much desired by the rest of the world, these farming communities continue to live in abject poverty and deprivation. Their children remain uneducated and the continuous social and environmental degradation severely threatens their very survival.

This Charity has teamed up with a number of Somali and UK business men and women to form a commercial enterprise, that will enable the Charity to share in the wealth created outside Somalia by the international sale of frankincense, myrrh and their derivatives. The Charity will own the majority of the Shares in EoSNG Ltd.

The well-qualified team engaged in this venture will also introduce a range of health & wellbeing-enhancing, cosmetic and other household products that include sustainably sourced frankincense and myrrh from the regions of Somalia.
The declared intention of the enterprise is to make money for the Charity by supplying exceptionally high quality products to international markets.
